Postnatal check.

6 weeks onwards

Marta is a qualified Mummy MOT practitioner and prior tutor with the Mummy mot team.  A mummy MOT assessment is recommended for all women postnatally from 6-8 weeks but also for women of all ages, whether it has been 6 weeks or 6 years a detailed postnatal assessment is essential for all women and you will always benefit from a post-natal health consultation.

Childbirth can be a very traumatic experience. Whether you have had a straightforward birth with minimal trauma or a challenging labour, birth or c-section the pelvic floor, tummy muscles, ligaments and fascia that support your organs such as the bladder and bowel will have experienced stretching, tearing and changes. Most mothers will experience some weakness in these muscle groups and need a tailored individualised program for their pelvic floor and core strength to improve their overall strength, stability and recovery. A specific evidence-based assessment and treatment plan will be tailored to your needs.
